Maharajganj,

11 Aug (HS): Zhang Yong, 62, a Chinese

national, was apprehended at the Indo-Nepal border after attempting to enter

India without proper travel credentials.

He had a Chinese passport, but no Indian visa. Officials are probing his

motives and looking for signs of illegal activity.

There are legal processes

pending. A 62-year-old Chinese national called Zhang Yong was caught in the

Sonauli area near the Indo-Nepal border on Monday for allegedly attempting to

enter India without proper travel permits, according to a police officer. The

Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) stopped Zhang during a regular check as he attempted

to enter from Nepal into India, according to Station Officer Ajeet Pratap Singh

of the Sonauli police station. Despite having a Chinese passport, he lacked the

required Indian visa and legal entry paperwork. Authorities are initiating

legal action against Zhang and conducting an investigation to establish whether

he is involved in any criminal actions. A case has been officially opened as

part of the continuing investigation.
