(HS): Five people including four members

of the same family died in a collision between a tractor-trolley and a bike

near Harbanspur in Hardatt Nagar Girant police station area in Shravasti

district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday. On receiving the information, the police

reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem and started investigating

the case. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed shock over the incident.

It was told that a

youth from Mangalpur village was going to his sister's in-laws' house on his

bike to drop his sister and her children. Near Harbanspur village, his bike

collided with a tractor trolley. Due to which four people died on the spot,

while a girl died during treatment in the hospital. A woman is injured.

Vijay Kumar Verma

(32), originally a resident of Mangalpurva in Risiya police station area of

Bahraich, was going to Madhanagara in Rupaidiha police station area on a bike

with his wife Sunita Devi (28), Mangalvati (40), Neetu (30), Neetu's sister

Gyanvati (09) and an one-year-old girl in the morning. Vijay, Mangalvati, Neetu

and Gyanvati died on the spot in the accident. Sunita and an one-year-old girl

were injured. Police reached the spot and took the injured to the district

hospital. The girl died there. ASP Mukesh Chandra Uttam and CO Satish Sharma

reached the spot and inquired about the incident. Police have taken the

tractor-mixer into custody. However, the driver fled from the spot. He is being

searched for.

On getting

information about the incident, the DM and SP reached the hospital and enquired

about the condition of the injured woman and took stock of the situation. On

receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took the bodies in

their custody and after investigation, sent the bodies for postmortem.

Chief Minister

Yogi Adityanath expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in the road

accident in Shravasti district. He expressed condolences to the bereaved

families of the deceased. The Chief Minister has instructed the district

administration officials to immediately take the injured to the hospital and

provide them proper treatment. Superintendent of Police Ghanshyam Chaurasia

said that a tractor-trolley hit a bike near Harbanspur in Hardatt Nagar Girant

police station area. Five people riding the bike have died. Police is taking

action.
