Kolkata, 11 August (H.S.) 15 students and two policemen suddenly fell ill due to heat and humidity during the rehearsal of the parade held on Red Road in Kolkata on Monday before Independence Day. Of these, nine students were immediately taken to SSKM Hospital and six students to Kolkata Medical College Hospital. After giving first aid, the condition of all is said to be stable.

As per information, the parade rehearsal was going on with the students of many schools, when suddenly many students fainted and fell. The team present on the spot immediately sent them to the hospital. Doctors said that all of them became ill due to intense heat and humidity.

According to the Meteorological Department, after the continuous rain in the past few days, the humidity in the weather has increased. With the rain stopping, the temperature has also increased, due to which there is a situation of severe humidity and heat wave in South Bengal, especially Kolkata. Due to this, students and policemen fell ill during the rehearsal.

The two policemen who fell ill were also taken to SSKM Hospital, where their primary treatment is going on. Hospital sources said that everyone's condition is out of danger and there is no serious cause for concern.
