New Bongaigaon (Assam), 10 August (HS): A tense situation has arisen in New Bongaigaon following a fatal accident in which one person lost his life, police. The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Pradip Barman from Chuangapota.

According to reports, Barman was standing on the road when he was hit by a car being reversed by its driver. He fell and sustained severe head injuries. The driver immediately rushed him to New Bongaigaon Railway Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The incident triggered a heated situation in the area.
