Kamrup (Assam), 10 August (HS): A tragic road accident in Chagoan, South Kamrup, claimed the life of a 28-year-old man on the spot after being hit by a speeding dumper (AS-01-R-3803).

The deceased has been identified as Elias Ali from Siagao Dhekhenabhar. According to reports, the dumper attempted to flee after the incident but was intercepted by locals at Kaimari in Siagao.

Enraged residents damaged the vehicle and assaulted the driver before Siagao police reached the spot to bring the situation under control.
