10 Aug (HS): In a family dispute in
Jagdishpur area of Amethi district of UP, on Sunday morning, the wife first fed
intoxicants to the husband, then put chilli powder in his eyes and attacked him
with a knife and cut off his private parts. The victim was taken to Jagdishpur
Trauma Center in critical condition, from where he was referred to AIIMS
Raebareli. The police have taken the accused wife into custody and started
interrogation. Ansar (38), a resident of Magalganj Majra Kachanav village of
Jagdishpur, was sleeping in the room with his second wife Nazni, a resident of
Harimau village. At around three in the morning, Nazni first put chilli in her
husband's eyes, and then stabbed him several times with a knife. During this,
his private parts were also cut off. When the family reached after hearing the
noise, the accused wife ran away from the room. According to brother Sufiyan,
Ansar's first marriage was with Shabtun, a resident of Itaunja in Ayodhya
district, 14 years ago, but due to not having a child, he married for the
second time with Nazni eight months ago. The second wife used to threaten him
every day. There was a dispute between the two on Saturday night as well. Due
to apprehension, Ansar remained awake till late night, but the incident
happened after he fell asleep.
The
family took him to the trauma center in 108 ambulance, where doctors declared
his condition critical and sent him to AIIMS Raebareli. On receiving the
information, the police reached the spot and started investigation. Police
station in-charge Vidhan Chand Yadav said that on the complaint of the
injured's brother, a case has been registered against the accused wife under
relevant sections. The accused is in custody, legal action will be taken after
interrogation.
