Jammu, 10 August (H.S.): BJP will ensure women to lead from front: Sat SharmaBharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, under the leadership of its president, Sat Sharma, reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to women-led development and grassroots empowerment during a meeting held at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
The meeting was attended by senior women leaders including BJP vice-president, Priya Sethi, general secretary, Sanjita Dogra, BJP Mahila Morcha president, Neha Mahajan, and senior Mahila Morcha leaders.
Addressing the meeting, Sat Sharma declared that under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, women in India have moved from the margins to the mainstream of politics and governance. He said that the Modi Government has not just spoken of empowerment it has delivered at every level. From Parliament to Panchayat, from space missions to the streets of our villages, Nari Shakti is scripting the new story of India, he said and added that in Jammu & Kashmir, the BJP will ensure that women lead from the front not as token representatives but as decisive voices shaping policies, defending rights and driving the nation’s progress.
Highlighting the Modi Government’s achievements, Sat Sharma cited landmark measures like the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam ensuring 33% reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Mission Shakti, PM Awas Yojana (73% of beneficiaries women), Ujjwala Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Jal Jeevan Mission, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, PM MUDRA Yojana, and Stand-Up India. He stressed that in Jammu & Kashmir, the abrogation of Article 35A has granted women equal property rights, a historic correction ensuring dignity, equality and opportunity for every daughter of the region.
Priya Sethi said that grassroots-oriented policies such as construction of toilets, provision of tap water and housing for women have enhanced dignity and reduced rural hardships. “This is not just women’s development; it is women-led development where women take decisions for their own welfare and for the nation,” she said.
Sanjita Dogra emphasized that political empowerment is the next frontier. “BJP is committed to creating a strong cadre of women leaders in J&K who can raise their voice fearlessly for the rights, dignity, and progress of women,” she stated.
Neha Mahajan pledged to strengthen the organizational presence of women across every district.
