Dispur (Assam), 01 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday announced the launch of Arunodoi 3.0, the next phase of the state’s flagship welfare scheme, starting on September 17 — the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a press conference at Lok Sewa Bhawan in Dispur, the Chief Minister shared several key updates regarding the scheme. He stated that from now on, beneficiaries under the Arunodoi scheme will receive a subsidy of ₹250 on LPG cylinder purchases.
Additionally, every Arunodoi beneficiary will receive a personalised letter from the Chief Minister and a set of books as gifts. These will be handed over either by newly elected panchayat representatives or by officials representing the District Commissioner.
CM Sarma also elaborated on other future plans related to the scheme during the press briefing.
