(HS): In Uttar Pradesh, there was an encounter between the police and cow
smugglers late Thursday night in the Kadipur police station area of Sultanpur
district. Two cow smugglers were injured in this, who have been admitted to the
hospital by the police for treatment.
A total of three cow smugglers have been
arrested. Superintendent of Police Kunwar Anupam Singh said on Friday that last
night Kadipur police received information that some cow smugglers were going
from Mudila market towards Kadipur police station. When the police and SOG team
surrounded them, the miscreants opened fire on the police team to escape.
The
police also fired in retaliation, in which Muzaffarnagar resident Mohammed
Naveed and Jasoi resident Sahil were shot in the left leg. The police have
arrested them and their companion Sushil Upadhyay. The police have admitted the
injured to the hospital for treatment and have started further action.
