New Delhi, July 9 (H.S.): The domestic stock market is experiencing pressure in early trading today, starting on a weak note. After the market opened, buyers briefly created momentum, which resulted in a slight upward trend for both the Sensex and Nifty. However, sellers quickly imposed their pressure, leading to declines. By 10 AM, the Sensex had weakened by 0.09 percent and the Nifty by 0.05 percent. Among blue-chip stocks, shares of Hindustan Unilever, Asian Paints, Cipla, Adani Enterprises, and Shriram Finance gained between 1.48 percent and 0.64 percent. Conversely, ICICI Bank, Wipro, Tata Steel, HCL Technology, and Larsen & Toubro saw declines ranging from 0.94 percent to 0.77 percent.

Out of 2,415 actively traded shares, 1,405 were in positive territory while 1,010 were in the red. In the Sensex, 11 shares were up, and 19 were down, while the Nifty had 21 shares gaining and 29 losing. The BSE Sensex opened down by 86.62 points at 83,625.89, briefly reaching 83,697.83 before falling to 83,519.41 due to selling pressure. By 10 AM, it was trading at 83,639.13, a drop of 73.38 points. Similarly, the NSE Nifty opened down 7.90 points at 25,514.60, briefly hitting 25,525.05 before dropping to 25,472.05, and by 10 AM was at 25,508.85, down 13.65 points. The previous trading close saw the Sensex at 83,712.51 points, up by 270.01 points, while the Nifty closed at 25,522.50, up by 61.20 points.
