Srinagar, 8 July (H.S.): More than a hundred prominent activists and youth from across the Kashmir Valley joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The joining ceremony was held at Church Lane, here, in the presence of party’s general secretary (Organisation), Ashok Koul, Waqf Board Chairperson, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, former MLC, Charanjeet Singh Khalsa and other BJP state team.

While welcoming new members into the party, BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Koul highlighted the party’s commitment to development and empowerment in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the participation of the youth reflects the trust the public has in the BJP’s vision for progress, good governance, and stability.

“The BJP is dedicated to the betterment of every section of society through its promise of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,'” Koul said. He expressed confidence that the party’s approach has endeared it to the people, stating, “Today, the citizens believe that Jammu & Kashmir can only progress under the leadership of the BJP.”

Among other prominent people, who joined BJP were Bashir Ahmad Bhat (DFO), Abrar Ahmad (Independent Assembly Candidate), Vijay Koul (former NC, JDU leader), Mehraj Rather (Apni Party leader) and Syed Imran Ali Bukhari.

Newly joined members expressed their confidence and faith in the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.
