Lucknow,

6 July (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday remembered Dr. Shyama

Prasad Mukherjee on the occasion of his birth anniversary by garlanding his

statue. During this, CM Yogi said that he was a brilliant speaker, freedom

fighter and great educationist. Chief Minister Yogi said that by abolishing

Article 370 in Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made an innovative

effort to connect Kashmir with the rest of India in accordance with the

Constitution of India and to connect it with the democratic stream of India

with one constitution, one head and one flag. Today Jammu and Kashmir is

developing rapidly, which is the victory of the resolutions of Dr. Shyama

Prasad Mukherjee. This has been possible under the leadership of Prime Minister

Modi. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has

established itself as the best destination for investment across the world. He

said that the foundation of industrialization was started by Dr. Shyama Prasad

Mukherjee in independent India and today it’s very large form is being seen in

the country. During the biggest epidemic of this century, when the whole world

was suffering, India gave the benefit of free ration facility to 80 crore

people, which is still continuing. All these resolutions are going to make the

dreams of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee come true.

Dr.

Mukherjee resigned in protest against the appeasement policy of the Nehru

government:

Yogi

Adityanath said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee had dedicated his entire life

to the mother nation. The whole country remembers his services during the

Bengal famine. His life was dedicated to the unity and integrity of India. Dr.

Mukherjee laid the foundation of food self-sufficiency and industrialization in

the country as the Food and Industry Minister of India in the first government

formed under the leadership of Pandit Nehru after independence, which is also

clearly visible in the new India. He resigned from the cabinet in protest

against the appeasement policy of the Nehru government. Not only this, when the

Nehru government tried to give a separate status to Kashmir through Article 370

in the Constitution of India and implemented the permit system for Jammu and

Kashmir, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was the first to raise his voice against

it after the formation of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and being its first

president. At that time, he gave the slogan of 'Two Prime Ministers, Two

Constitutions and Two Flags will not work in one country'. These dreams of Dr.

Shyama Prasad Mukherjee were realized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On

this occasion, Rajya Sabha member Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, BJP

leader Pankaj Singh, MLC Mukesh Sharma, MLC Ramchandra Pradhan, MLC Avnish

Patel, MLC Lalji Prasad Nirmal, Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi and Neeraj

Singh etc. were present.
