Kolkata, 6 July (H.S.) The decomposed body of a man was found in the bushes near a pond in Raghubati village under Goghat police station area on Sunday morning.
According to local sources, the deceased has been identified as Varun Das, a resident of Raghubati village and a mason by profession. He had left his home with his bicycle on Thursday and had been missing since then.
When his family began searching for him, they discovered his bicycle abandoned near the pond. On Sunday, Varun’s dead body was found in the bushes beside the same pond.
On information, the police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem to Arambagh Prafulla Chandra Sen Medical College and Hospital. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
