Moradabad, 04 July (HS): An important

meeting was held online through video conferencing on Friday at the office of

Uttar Pradesh Social Forestry Department located at Ramganga Vihar in

Moradabad. Forest officers, social organizations, NSS and NCC representatives

from all districts of the state participated in the meeting. In the meeting,

Forest and Environment Minister in UP Government Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena directed

officials to make continuous efforts to improve Van Mahotsav and achieve the

target of planting 35 crore saplings.

In the meeting, the massive Ek Ped Maa Ke

Naam campaign to be held on July 9 was discussed. Under this campaign,

ways to save the environment and make Van Mahotsav successful by planting a

tree by every person were discussed. On this occasion, all the participants

expressed their commitment towards environmental protection and took a pledge

to make the Ek Pedda Maa Ke Naam campaign a success.

It was chaired by Divisional Director of Social

Forestry Department Moradabad, Abhinash Pandey. Forest officers of Moradabad

and from social organizations, Lokbharati patron Dr. Vishesha Gupta, nominated

member of District Environment and Ganga Committee UP Pradeep Saxena, Vipin

Gupta and Jaiprakash Saxena from environmental activities, Prince Chauhan from

Parivartan the Change organization, Khilendra and Rajiv from conservation

activities and Sparsh Gupta, Kiranpal, VP Singh, Ramesh Verma associated with

environmental conservation actively participated in the meeting.
