Delhi, 4 July (H.S.): Terrorists targeted innocent civilians in Pahalgam based on their Dharma, while Operation Sindoor by the Armed Forces successfully destroyed terrorist hideouts following their Karma, stated Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at an event in Hyderabad on Friday He emphasized the Armed Forces' patience and restraint in dismantling terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK, ensuring no harm to civilians. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Defence Minister affirmed that the Armed Forces are prepared to take decisive actions against terrorism moving forward.
The occasion marked the 128th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju. He drew parallels between the Armed Forces' qualities during Operation Sindoor and Raju's contributions to India's freedom struggle, referring to Raju as a ‘warrior-saint’. Defence Minister highlighted Raju's moral clarity and grassroots leadership, linking his legacy to modern defense and development strategies. He praised Raju's guerrilla resistance as an example of principled courage.
He outlined the Government’s vision for tribal empowerment, aligning it with Raju’s mission to uplift marginalized communities, citing initiatives like the PM Tribal Development Mission and Skill India. Defence Minister emphasized that these efforts aim to integrate tribal communities with dignity and opportunity. He portrayed Raju's life as exemplifying bravery and unity, transcending caste barriers. Celebrating the birth anniversary, he reflected on India's transformative governance over the past eleven years and its commitment to achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047.
