Udalguri (Assam), 3 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma started a five-day tour of five districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) from Thursday.

The Chief Minister started his tour from Udalguri where he first reached the District Commissioner's Office and participated in a high-level review meeting. In this meeting, he reviewed the administrative preparations, development works and progress of schemes of the district.

This tour of the Chief Minister will cover all the five districts of BTR and during this he will also inaugurate various projects, lay the foundation stone and address public meetings.

Talking to reporters after the meeting at the District Commissioner's Office, the Chief Minister said that the earlier Congress government did not come to Bodoland and the Council Government of Bodoland did not go to Dispur. There was an agreement among themselves. But the ministers of his government and he himself (the Chief Minister) always come to Bodoland. He said that the people of Bodoland have fed him their salt by voting for him and to pay the duty of that salt, he comes to Bodoland again and again. The Chief Minister said that peace, unity and development in Bodoland is his priority and he is working tirelessly for this. In a question related to BTR elections, the Chief Minister said that no election is a semi-final for the BJP, he considers every election as a final. During this, the Chief Minister also gave direct answers to many other questions of the journalists. --------------
