Guwahati, 3 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the citizens of BTR (Bodoland Territorial Region) who were confused about their future in Assam during the Congress rule, are now able to see themselves as first class citizens.

The Chief Minister said, Today we are giving such an environment to the BTR residents who lived in a state of suspicion and insecurity during the Congress rule, in which they are recognizing themselves as part of the mainstream of society and first class citizens.

He made this statement on Thursday while reviewing development projects in the BTR region.
