New Delhi, July 29 (H.S.): On April 22, in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, three terrorists who had brutally murdered 26 tourists based on their religion were killed in a joint operation by security Forces on Monday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah shared details of 'Operation Mahadev' in the Lok Sabha, revealing that the terrorists, identified as Suleiman, Afghan, and Hamza Zibraan, were neutralized by the army, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and Jammu Kashmir Police.
Suleiman, a category A commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was implicated in prior terrorist attacks, while Afghan and Hamza Zibraan also posed significant threats to national security. The terrorists' location was pinpointed through sensors, leading to their cornering by the security forces. The operation successfully eliminated those responsible for the Baisaran Valley murders.
The Home Minister expressed gratitude and congratulations to the personnel involved, including 24 National Rifles, 4 Para, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and CRPF, for their bravery and success in the operation.
