New Delhi, July 29 (H.S.): The Supreme Court has provided relief to Abdullah Azam, son of Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, by staying trial court proceedings in two cases. Justice M.M. Sundresh's bench issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh government regarding Abdullah's petition, following an order from the Allahabad High Court, which had previously dismissed Abdullah's petition on July 23.
One case involves a fake passport issued on January 10, 2018, with incorrect date of birth details, while the other pertains to allegations of obtaining two PAN cards. BJP legislator Akash Saxena filed complaints against Abdullah, including one for misrepresentation in his 2017 election affidavit.
