New Delhi, July 29(HS): Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced the appointment of Shailesh Jajurikar, originally from Mumbai, as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 1, 2026. Jajurikar will succeed John Muller and has also been nominated for election as a director at the annual shareholder meeting in October. P&G, a major player in the Indian FMCG market with brands like Ariel, Tide, Whisper, and Gillette, continues to make strides in diversity leadership. Notably, this month, Sabiha Khan, of Indian descent, was promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Apple. Prominent Indian-origin CEOs in the tech sector include Satya Nadella of Microsoft and Sundar Pichai of Google.
