Delhi, 29 July (H.S.): Registrations for the IndiaSkills Competition (ISC) 2025 are now open, initiated by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India. This esteemed platform showcases excellence in vocational training and skill development, featuring 63 skills for competition among participants from all 36 states and UTs. Registrations can be submitted online until 30 September 2025 via the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) portal.

The biennial ISC aims to identify and nurture India’s talented youth to prepare them for international competitions like the WorldSkills Competition (WSC) 2026. Open to Indian nationals aged 16 to 25 (with specific age exceptions for advanced skills), participants must excel in vocational education and recognize skilled work's significance in today’s economy.

The competition follows a multi-tiered selection process, where each participant can apply for one skill only. It includes two main tracks: Track I covers state-level competitions managed by State Skill Development Missions (SSDMs), while Track II is coordinated by Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) for unselected skills. Competitions progress through Regional Skill Competitions (RSCs) and conclude with a national contest organized by MSDE, with winners receiving training to represent India globally.
