New Delhi, July 2(HS): The domestic stock market faced pressure in early trading today. Initially, there was an uptick with buying support boosting both Sensex and Nifty indices. However, profit booking soon led to declines. By 10 AM, the Sensex showed a slight gain of 0.03 percent, while the Nifty was down by 0.03 percent. Blue-chip stocks like Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS, and Hero MotoCorp experienced gains of 1.83 percent to 1.31 percent.

Conversely, stocks such as IndusInd Bank, Shriram Finance, Nestle, Apollo Hospital, and Asian Paints declined between 3.01 percent and 1.15 percent. A total of 2,398 shares were active, with 1,016 in the green and 1,382 in the red. Out of the 30 Sensex shares, 18 were supported by buying, while 12 were under selling pressure. For the Nifty's 50 shares, 27 were in the green, and 23 were in the red. The Sensex opened at 83,790.72, gaining 93.43 points, peaking at 83,935.01 before profit booking caused a decline.

By 10 AM, it was at 83,724.11, up 26.82 points. Similarly, the Nifty started at 25,588.30, rising 46.50 points to a high of 25,608.10 before dropping to 25,533.75, down 8.05 points. The previous day's closing saw the Sensex at 83,697.29 and the Nifty at 25,541.80.
