Bhubaneswar, 2 July (H.S.): Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Odisha on July 11, accompanied by All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjun Kharge and General Secretary K.C. Venugopal.
Providing details of the visit, senior Congress leader Jaydev Jena said the trio will arrive at Bhubaneswar Airport at 10:30 AM. They will then address a large public rally at Baramunda Ground, which is expected to draw significant participation from women, youth, and farmers across the state.
The visit is aimed at mobilizing public opinion against the alleged anti-people policies of both the central and state BJP governments, and to address the current political situation in Odisha.
Congress leaders have stated that the BJP government has betrayed the people of Odisha, and Rahul Gandhi will directly engage with the public on these issues. He is also expected to speak about Congress’s efforts and success in advocating for a nationwide caste census, along with the party's commitment to social justice and equity.
According to party sources, the visit is part of Congress’s broader outreach and public engagement strategy in the lead-up to upcoming elections.
