(HS): The State Bank of India, under its Corporate Salary Package, has covered

the State Transport employees with a life insurance of Rs 1 crore. A Memorandum

of Understanding by the SBI and Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation

was signed, and a notification was received by all the regional offices.

MSRTC has about

92000 employees, of whom about 85 percent received salaries through the SBI.

The workers in case of death or disability in an accident, will be covered

with the insurance of Rs 1 crore. The Group Term Insurance of Rs 6 lakh will be

available in case of death by other causes.. The insurance will be

admissible for the death in an air accident if the ticket is booked through the

CSP account. The other terms and conditions have also been mentioned in the

circular issued in this connection. Nagpur’s Regional Controller’s office has

confirmed the news.
