Key contributions came from Jemimah Rodrigues and Amanjot Kaur, who both scored half-centuries. After losing the toss, India batted first but faced early setbacks, finishing the powerplay at 35/3. Rodrigues and Kaur stabilized the innings, accelerating the scoring from the 14th over. Rodrigues reached her half-century with aggressive boundaries, while Kaur remained unbeaten on 63 runs.

Richa Ghosh added a quick 32 runs, leading India to a total of 181/4 in 20 overs. England's chase began weakly, with Sophia Dunkley run out in the first over and Danny Wyatt-Hodge out on the first ball.
