Daraksha Bano and Kaif for three hours in Phulpur police station on Tuesday.

The statement of the victim teenager was recorded before the court on Tuesday

in the case of taking her to Kerala and converting her and then pressuring her

for Jihadi training. After this, the section of conversion can be increased

On Tuesday afternoon, she was taken before the court under police protection,

where her statement was recorded. At present it is not known what she said in

her statement before the court.

say that if the victim sticks to her statement given to the police, it will be

a big evidence against the accused. Under this, sections of UP Prohibition of

Unlawful Conversion of Religion (Amendment) Act can also be added in the case.

At present, the case has been registered under kidnapping of a minor, criminal

conspiracy and SC ST Act.

Both

the accused were sent to jail: Both the accused Daraksha and Kaif, arrested for

forcing the teenager to convert and undergo Jihadi training, were sent to jail

on Tuesday. Phulpur police presented both of them in the court where the court

granted their remand and ordered them to be sent to judicial custody. Phulpur

police said that the accused have been lodged in Naini jail under tight

security.

She

used to say... if you convert to Islam, you will get money: During

investigation, it has come to light that the teenager was lured with money and

then taken to Kerala and converted. In her statement to the police, the

teenager has said that Daraksha often told her that if she converts to Islam,

she will get a lot of money. Not only this, she repeatedly said that Islam is

better than other religions.

On

the night of May 8, the victim was going to a wedding ceremony organised at the

house of the Kotedaar. During this, Daraksha met her on the way and took her

with her by luring her with a job and free food and lodging. According to

police sources, the teenager has also told that there were many Muslim boys at

the place where she was taken.

The

accused Daraksha belongs to an ordinary family but has expensive hobbies, now

her house is locked: On the other hand, after the arrest of the accused

Daraksha, her house in Phulpur has been locked. The family of the teenager

alleges that Daraksha belonged to an ordinary family but her hobbies were

expensive. She used to go to expensive restaurants. Once she even took the

teenager with her. On coming to know about this, the family members had banned

the teenager from meeting her.

ATS

interrogated the accused for three hours at Phulpur police station: Anti

Terrorist Squad (ATS) has also started investigation in the case of forcibly

converting a teenager to Kerala and then pressuring her for Jihadi training.

ATS officers interrogated both the accused Daraksha Bano and Kaif for three

hours at Phulpur police station on Tuesday. ATS is engaged in gathering

information regarding international radical network connection.

Asked

how she came in contact: During the interrogation, ATS officials asked Daraksha

several important questions, including an attempt to find out who she was in

contact with in Kerala. They also asked which suspicious persons she met there.

The

question was also asked as to through whom they got in touch with those people.

ATS officers also sought information about who planned to connect the teenager

with jihadi ideology. Kaif was also questioned about his role and contacts.

International

connection: ATS suspects that the case may be connected to some international

radical Islamic network. This may be a network that specifically targets minor,

poor and helpless girls and conspires to push them into radical activities

through religious conversion.

There

is also a suspicion that its funding may be coming from another country. At

present, ATS officers are not ready to say anything in this matter. However, a

local officer said that information is being gathered.

Mobile,

financial transactions will also be investigated: Sources say that ATS has

started an in-depth investigation of the accused's mobile, social media, travel

route, financial transactions etc. If any connection with an international

terrorist network comes to light, then action can also be taken by invoking NSA

etc. in this case.
