Delhi, 18 July (H.S.): The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports will hold the ‘Youth Spiritual Summit’ themed ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’ from July 19 -20, 2025, in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, uniting over 500 youth delegates from 100 spiritual and socio-cultural organizations. Located along the River Ganga, the summit seeks to cultivate a national commitment against drug abuse, emphasizing India’s spiritual traditions and the power of youth.

Dignitaries attending include the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Union Ministers from various departments, and Uttar Pradesh ministers. This summit is part of a broader initiative to promote a youth-driven movement against substance abuse, providing an experiential platform involving introspective dialogue and cultural engagement.

Four plenary sessions will address key topics: the psychological and social impact of addiction, dismantling drug supply networks, effective grassroots campaigns, and creating a roadmap for a Nasha Mukt Bharat. The summit will feature whiteboard forums, expert keynote speeches, and action workshops to encourage youth-led innovation.

The culmination will be the ‘Kashi Declaration’ on July 20, a comprehensive document reflecting the collective commitment of attendees toward establishing a drug-free India, serving as a guide for policy and civil society actions on de-addiction and rehabilitation.

The summit aligns with the MY Bharat platform and aims to launch a nationwide Jan Andolan against drugs, engaging MY Bharat volunteers and youth clubs in awareness and outreach initiatives throughout the country. Further details will be available on the MY Bharat platform: https://mybharat.gov.in.
