Chennai, 18 July (H.S.) : The Tamil Nadu government has sought environmental clearance for the proposed new SIPCOT industrial park in Hosur, Krishnagiri district. The project, which aims to attract investments and create employment opportunities in the region, involves the development of a large-scale industrial park with facilities for various industries, including IT, electronics, and manufacturing.

According to official sources, the government has submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, seeking environmental clearance for the project. The proposal outlines the potential environmental impacts of the project and proposes measures to mitigate them. The government has also stated that the project will be designed and developed in an environmentally sustainable manner, with features such as green belts, rainwater harvesting, and efficient waste management systems.
