Mumbai, 18 July (HS): A
three-storey chawl in the Bandra suburb of Mumbai collapsed on Friday morning. Seven
people were rescued and admitted to Bhabha Hospital; several others are feared
trapped under the debris. The Fire Brigade personnel are engaged in the rescue
operation.
The chawl number 37 in East Bandra collapsed around
6 am on Friday, when most of the residents were sleeping. On getting the
information, the firefighters rushed to the site and rescued seven people. The
personnel from the Mumbai Police Force, MHADA, PWD, BMC and 108 ambulances
rushed to the site on getting the information.
