Varanasi,

18 July (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has strongly attacked those who

are creating division in the society. He said that Kanwar Yatra is going on in

Sawan without any discrimination. People from poor to rich are participating in

it. Media trial is being done on Kanwars on small incidents. They are being

called miscreants and some people are even daring to call them terrorists. Such

people want to create division in the society.

While

addressing a program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that our challenge is

that some people work to separate people from the mainstream of society. Such

are their deeds. They create a situation of caste conflict by creating fake

accounts on social media. A similar incident took place 2, 3 years ago. In an

arson incident, a person was wearing a saffron gamchha. In the middle, he

exclaimed 'Ya Allah'. Such people need to be identified.

The

month of Sawan is going on. Before that there was Muharram. We had made rules

to limit the length of the Tazia. This caused damage to electricity and tree

branches. An incident happened in Jaunpur. The Tazia was raised so high that it

came in contact with the high tension line. 3 people died. When there was a

riot later, I said beat them with sticks, they are habituated to kicks, they

will not listen to words. No one opposed this.

Today,

Kanwar pilgrims walk with a sense of devotion. They carry Kanwar on their

shoulders for 200, 300, 400 kms. They chant 'Har Har Bam' but they too are

subjected to media trials. They are even called hooligans and terrorists. This

is the mentality that works to insult India's heritage and faith in every way.

These are the people who create fake accounts on social media and spread

communal conflicts, he remarked.
