Amravati, 18 July (HS): An offence under the POCSO

(Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act, has been registered against Area

91 Bar Restaurant in Amravati, where alcohol and drugs were supplied in the

name of a wedding party. Police found 80 minors, 35 girls and 45 boys in the

party, during the raid on the bar on July 12.

Hemant Bajaj, with his four friends, were booked by the police under various

laws. An offence under POCSO was added on Thursday against them.

A proposal to cancel the permit of the bar is being

forwarded to the authorities, Commissioner of Police Arvind Chawaria said.
