17 July (HS): Three criminals who looted lakhs of rupees from a grocery
businessman in Indirapuram police station area at gunpoint were arrested by
SWAT team Trans Hindon Zone and Indirapuram police station during an encounter
on Wednesday night. Two criminals were injured by police bullets in this
encounter. Two days ago, they had looted a bag full of lakhs of rupees from
Pravesh Vishnoi, a scooter rider, by keeping a gun on his temple on Pushta Road
going from Kanawani to Hindon Barrage. Police have recovered 02 illegal
pistols, 02 empty cartridges, 02 live cartridges, Rs. 5 lakh cash related to
the robbery incident and 01 motorcycle used in the incident from the possession
of the criminals.

Abhishek Shrivastava said that SWAT team Trans Hindon Zone and police team of
Indirapuram police station were checking to prevent incidents of robbery in
Indirapuram police station area. Then police signaled 03 suspicious youths
riding a motorcycle coming from railway line underpass near Vasundhara T Point
Green Belt to stop, but the three youths riding the motorcycle did not stop and
turned the motorcycle sharply and started running towards Vasundhara Sector 2A
on the forest road. When police chased the motorcycle, both the persons sitting
behind on the motorcycle threatened the chasing police party by waving pistols
in their hands and said that if they tried to catch us, they will kill us. On
this, the police party challenged and asked the youths riding the motorcycle to
surrender while surrounding them, and then in the hurry and haste of running
away, the motorcycle slipped and fell. After this, police surrounded the three
miscreants. Seeing themselves surrounded, the miscreants opened fire on the
police. The police also retaliated. In which the miscreants Mukul, resident of
Rahul flour mill near Bhimnagar police station crossing republic and Surendra
resident of Nat Madhiya near Lever Chowk roundabout police station Beta 2
district Gautam Buddha were injured. The police also caught the third miscreant
Akash, resident of Nat Madhiya near Lever Chowk roundabout police station Beta
2, who was trying to escape.
During
police interrogation, Mukul told that on the night of July 14, he had looted a
huge amount of money from a scooter rider Pravesh Vishnoi on Pushta Road going
from Kanawani to Hindon Barrage. Some other colleagues were also involved in
this incident who were doing recce of Pravesh Vishnoi on different routes. I
and Nitesh work at Pravesh Vishnoi's grocery shop in Cloud 9 Society in
Kanawani. We had told our other colleagues involved in this incident that
Pravesh Vishnoi was carrying a huge amount of cash. The Rs. 5 lakh recovered
from our possession is the money from that robbery incident.
