Nagpur, 17 July

(HS): The roof of Ramdas Tadas Indoor Stadium in Deoli in Wardha district,

which was inaugurated by the Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule in

January this year, collapsed. Although no one was injured in the roof collapse,

the quality of construction came under serious criticism.

During the inauguration, Bawankule had said that such a beautiful indoor stadium is the

first of its kind in a rural area.

Yuva Sangharsha

Vahini’s Kiran Thakre informed the media that Rs 15 crore was spent on the

construction of the stadium. An additional Rs 5 crore was spent on the interior

of the stadium. The interior was carried out by A Globia Creations, Nagpur. The

stadium was inaugurated on January 25, 2025. Part of the roof slab collapsed, posing serious questions about the quality of construction and the security of the

sports persons and others.
