Hooghly, 17 July (H.S.): Panic gripped the Daspara area of Ward 27 under Chuchura Municipality in West Bengal’s Hooghly district on Thursday morning after a human skeleton wrapped in plastic was discovered in a dustbin.

According to local sources, municipal sanitation workers were cleaning the area as part of their routine duties when they noticed a suspicious black plastic bag in the dustbin. Upon closer inspection, they found a human skull along with other skeletal remains inside the bag. The incident was immediately reported to the police.

Chuchura police arrived at the spot and took the remains into custody.

The police questioned a number local residents, but so far, no one has reported any recent deaths or missing persons in the area. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
