Ballia,
17 July (HS): A 25-year-old female trainee teacher at the District Institute of
Education and Training school in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, reportedly committed
suicide after her family chastised her for her connection with a guy, police
said on Thursday. According to Additional Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar
Jha, the event occurred on Wednesday evening in the school building in
Pakwainar, which is inside the Rasra police station's jurisdiction. Priya Giri, a trainee, used a 'dupatta' to
hang herself.
Jha
stated that after getting the information, a police squad and forensic
specialists arrived at the scene and took control of the corpse before sending
it for autopsy.
A claimed suicide note was discovered at the location and is presently being
investigated. Further legal action will
be taken based on a thorough investigation, forensic evidence, postmortem
results, and the family's written complaint, the officer stated.
According
to authorities, the woman was involved in a relationship with a man from
Rasra. Her family had just scolded her
for the incident, which apparently prompted her to take drastic measures.
