New Delhi, July 16 (H.S.): The Parliament's Monsoon session is set from July 21 to August 21, featuring 21 meetings. The government plans to introduce eight new legislations, including the Income Tax Bill 2025, which aims to simplify the Income Tax Act of 1961 and, if passed, will take effect on April 1, 2026. Additionally, the extension of the President’s rule in Manipur will be approved. Other proposed bills include the National Sports Governance Bill, the National Anti-Doping Amendment Bill, the Mines and Minerals (Amendment) Bill, along with efforts to pass pending bills such as the Indian Ports Bill and proposals like the Manipur GST Amendment Bill, the Taxation Amendment Bill, and the Jan Vishwas Amendment Bill. The session is anticipated to last nearly a month.
