Nagon (Assam), 16 July (HS): The body of a police constable was recovered under suspicious circumstances in Batadrava. The deceased has been identified as Ratan Muktiyar, who was currently posted at Dhing police station.

Police said on Wednesday that the body of the deceased constable was found just 100 meters away from Batadrava police station. A motorcycle numbered AS 02 AG 8340 has also been recovered near the body.

As soon as the information was received, Batadrava police reached the spot and started investigation. The incident has created a sensation in the area, while the police have said that they will investigate the matter from all aspects.
