Jagdalpur, July 16 (H.S.): Naxalite couple with Athram Lachanna alias Gopanna, with a bounty of 25 lakhs, and Chowdhury Ankubhai alias Anithakka, with a bounty of 8 lakhs, surrendered to the police in Ramagundam, Telangana. Active for 22-23 years, Lachhanna held responsibility for the DKSZDCM cadre in 2023 and previously led the North Bastar DVC Technical Department in 2007. Anithakka, an ACM since 2002 in the Sirpur Dalam, was also in the Technical Department in 2007 and currently served as DVCM in North Bastar. Their surrender is viewed as a major success for security forces, potentially influencing the naxal network in Bastar and Telangana.
