Kheri, 16 July (HS): UP government's Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi
reached Lakhimpur on Wednesday as per his scheduled program, where he held a
press conference at the LRP Guest House. During this, he also answered the
questions raised regarding the shortage of urea fertilizer to the farmers in
the district and black marketing. In response to the questions asked on the
shortage of urea, the minister said that there is no shortage of urea in the
district and the farmers will get relief soon. For this, administrative
officials have been instructed to keep an eye on the entire matter and take
strict action against those doing black marketing.
During
the press conference, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi said that on July
15, 2669.580 quintals of urea fertilizer has been supplied by rack in Gol
(Gola). This fertilizer is in the process of distribution and will soon be made
available at all sales centers. He assured that the government is serious about
the problems of farmers and no farmer will be troubled by the shortage of
fertilizer. On the question asked about the black marketing of urea, the
minister said that the administration is keeping an eye on it and if any
complaint of black marketing is received from anywhere, strict action will be
taken.
