Jammu, 16 July (H.S.): Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP national secretary and MLA from RS Pura-Jammu South Assembly constituency and Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, MLA from Bishnah Assembly constituency, held a public darbar at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here today.

Public darbar witnessed a large number of deputations from different parts of Jammu region, who came forward to share their pressing issues and long-pending demands.

Various deputations raised specific local demands. A deputation from Kakku De Kothe requested the installation of an irrigation tubewell to support agricultural needs. Residents from Last Morh, Gandhi Nagar demanded the upgradation and blacktopping of the existing road. A group from Arnia expressed deep concern over the non-payment of wages to casual labourers, pending for over five years.

Citizens from Shiv Nagar, Jogian Da Mohalla, appealed for the immediate relocation of a dumping site currently located near a Gurudwara Sahib, a primary school and a local temple. Residents from Gangyal demanded the construction and repair of the SICOP road connecting Coca-Cola Factory to the police station. People from Ajit Nagar highlighted acute water shortage due to leaking pipelines and requested repair work along with drain clearance and bathing ghat repair.

Additional requests included streetlight installation in Adarsh Enclave, drain construction in Gadigarh near Reen Palace, refixing of tilted electric poles in Sant Nagar and operationalization of a tubewell in Jallo Chak Langar. Deep Nagar residents urged laying of PHE pipes, while people from Chinore sought clearance of clogged drainage systems.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Narinder Singh said that the BJP always remains at the forefront to address the issues and the grievances of the people. Often, the needy persons feel neglected and lost, when they need to approach the administration regarding their issues, he said and added that in this darbar, BJP representatives are available to listen and act upon the issues faced by our people, especially those that directly impact their daily lives.
