Barma (Assam), 16 July (HS): Barma police station police, based on secret information, conducted a drive in Guwahati and arrested a cunning ATM thief Ramesh Ali. According to the police, Ramesh Ali was associated with an active ATM fraud gang.

According to the information, Ramesh Ali was committing the crime of changing the card of customers who came to withdraw money from ATM in the Barma area for a long time by confusing them. As soon as the police got information about this gang, the Baksa district police came into action.

The accused was nabbed by raiding Guwahati under the leadership of Barma police station in-charge Trailokya Das. The house of accused Ramesh Ali is said to be in the Kayakuchi area of Barpeta district.

According to the police, other criminals involved in this gang are still absconding. Based on the interrogation of Ramesh, the police hope that the rest of the criminals can also be arrested soon.
