New Delhi, July 15 (H.S.): In early trading today, the domestic stock market displayed a slight upward trend with fluctuations. The trading commenced on a mixed note at a flat level. Post-opening, buying support uplifted the Sensex and Nifty indices, but selling pressure soon caused a decline.
By 10 AM, the Sensex was up by 0.08 percent and Nifty increased by 0.10 percent. Among leading stocks, Hero MotoCorp, Sun Pharmaceuticals, Eicher Motors, Bharat Electronics, and IndusInd Bank saw increases ranging from 1.65 percent to 0.89 percent, while HCL Technologies, Eternal, Cipla, JSW Steel, and Tata Steel experienced declines from 2.77 percent to 0.45 percent. Of the 2,437 actively traded shares, 1,880 were in the green and 557 in the red.
In the Sensex, 20 shares were positive and 10 negative, while in the Nifty, 31 were up and 19 down. The BSE Sensex opened with a slight decline of 20.30 points at 82,233.16 but rose to 82,462.38 points shortly after due to buying before declining again to 82,320.63 points, up by 61.17 points by 10 AM.
The NSE’s Nifty opened with a gain of 7.20 points at 25,089.50, rose to 25,155.80, and then fell to 25,107.65 points, a rise of 25.35 points. Previous trading saw the Sensex close at 82,253.46 points, down 0.30 percent, and the Nifty at 25,082.30 points, down 0.27 percent.
