Mumbai, 15 July (HS): A threat to blow up the Bombay

Stock Exchange building turned out to be a rumour. The threat was received via

email stating that four RDX IED bombs have been planted in the Bombay Stock

Exchange Building. Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan posted the mail. The email

message also stated that the bombs will blast around 3 pm.

The police were informed, and a search was initiated

immediately. Following the search operations, police confirmed that no

objectionable object was found in the building.

An offence against an unknown person was registered

under sections 351(1)(b), 353(2), 351(3), and 351(4). Further investigation has

been initiated.
