Delhi, 15 July (H.S.): The Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) will host a Workshop and Exhibition focusing on the indigenisation of critical UAV and C-UAS components currently imported from foreign OEMs, at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi on July 16. This initiative, organized in collaboration with CENJOWS, aims to enhance self-reliance in defence technologies amidst recent India-Pakistan hostilities that underscore the significance of UAVs and C-UAS. The workshop seeks to unite stakeholders, including defence experts, policymakers, military officials, and private industry, to outline a strategic roadmap for indigenisation.
Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan will be the Chief Guest, while Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit will summarize the discussions and present a strategic policy document on UAV and C-UAS indigenisation. The event promotes India's vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, aiming to strengthen national security and position India as a global leader in advanced military technologies through expert talks, live demonstrations, and discussions on overcoming production challenges.
