Chandauli,
13 July (HS): Three males were nabbed on Sunday for allegedly raping a
16-year-old girl in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh, police said. According to
authorities, the fourth accused has been absconding, and attempts are on to
arrest him. The incident was brought to light after the girl's pregnancy became
obvious. The complaint stated that in February of this year, while the girl was
cleaning outside her house in the morning, she was kidnapped by the accused and
taken to a dwelling.
They
then sexually attacked her and warned her not to tell anyone, police claimed. When
her relatives saw bodily changes and questioned her, she informed them about
the intimate encounter. Station House Officer (SHO) Gaganraj Singh said that a
complaint has been filed against three individuals and an unnamed suspect under
the proper sections of the law. Rahi Patel, Dinesh Patel, and Vikas Vishwakarma
have been apprehended, and investigations are underway to find and catch a
fourth person. According to the SHO, the
girl is currently receiving a medical evaluation.
