Lucknow,
12 July (HS): According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, India's prosperity depends
on the success of its farmers. There can
be no prosperity until the farmer is prosperous. Agriculture and cattle have always been
inextricably linked in India. The farmer
who supplies food will have cattle in his home, and the livestock owner will
also be involved in farming. Keeping in
mind their reciprocal connection, the initiatives done by PM Modi to promote
farmer prosperity and well-being over the previous 11 years are incredibly
significant and laudable. Important
moves in this field have also been done in Uttar Pradesh as a result of PM
Modi's encouragement. UP has profited
from the vitality of the two-engine government. UP leads the country in milk
output.

Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the workshop on 'Development of Animal
Breeds in India' at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Saturday. He inaugurated the

he will contribute to bringing prosperity in the lives of livestock farmers.
Yogi
said that livestock is also affected by the climatic zone, its rearing,
maintenance and breed. Different breeds of cattle can be seen in different
regions of UP. Those who tried to improve the breed using indigenous methods at
the local level have succeeded in breeding good breeds. Thanking the Government
of India, the Chief Minister said that they have encouraged milk producers in
UP. Five milk producers are working in UP including Jhansi's Balini, Gorakhpur,
Agra, Kashi. Lakhs of women are associated with this, who achieve the goal of
milk collection, self-reliance through committees and also take care of good
breed of animal husbandry.
More
than 14 lakh cattle are being taken care of: Yogi said that today more than 14
lakh cows are being looked after by government gaushalas or government-aided
cattle rearers. There are 12 lakh livestock in gaushalas. Along with this, Rs.
1500 per cow is given every month for the care of cows. In this, more than two
lakh livestock are with 1.25 lakh farmers. Third scheme- Milch cows are given
to malnourished families from destitute cow shelters. One cow has been given to
more than 10,000 families. Rs. 1500 is provided every month for the service of
the cow. Through this, work is being done to increase the protection and
promotion of cows.
Chief
Minister expressed concern about diseases: CM said that in the present
situation, excessive use of chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers is giving rise
to new diseases. The ill effects of cancer, kidney failure, liver show that
chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers are used in excessive quantities. We have
to find a solution to this problem. Natural farming is important for living a
natural life. Natural farming is cow-based farming, Indian breed of cattle can
play a big role in it.
