11 July (HS): Under the leadership and

guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,

the Uttar Pradesh government will organize a two-day grand skill fair on July

15 and 16 on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day-2025. This fair is being

organized by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, which is being

operated under the direction of Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State

(Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and

Entrepreneurship of the state.

Minister

Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that this event is an important initiative towards

furthering the resolve of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of “Skilled

Youth, Empowered India”. He appealed to the youth to participate

enthusiastically in this skill fair, further improve their skills and become a

partner in the industrial and entrepreneurship development journey of the

state.

Mission

Director Pulkit Khare said that entry to the Skill Fair will be completely free

for everyone. More than 100 stalls will be set up in the grand skill exhibition

organized on this occasion, which will display saleable products prepared by

trainees related to various trades. These will especially include handicrafts,

sports items, chikankari, textiles, healthcare, electronics, carpets, and

household appliances. Along with this, trade based live skill demonstrations

will also be a center of attraction.

Cultural

programs will be organized for the participants and visitors in the fair, as

well as soft skills workshops will be organized which will include important

sessions like CV making, interview skills, spoken English and personality

grooming. The best saleable products of the Industrial Training Institutes

(ITIs) division wise will be displayed and the best three stall holders will be

awarded.

The

Mission Director has taken a new initiative to promote innovation. During the

fair, ITI and PIA trainers, successful entrepreneurs and training providers

doing excellent work will be honored at the state level. Along with this,

important MoUs will also be exchanged by Uttar Pradesh Skill Development

Mission with reputed industrial units.

There

will be another special attraction for the youth in the Kaushal Mela. Under the

confluence of various tastes of Uttar Pradesh, visitors will get an opportunity

to taste the spicy Bhelpuri of Lucknow and Kanpur, Desi vinegar made from

sugarcane and jamun juice of Ayodhya, traditional Litti-Chokha and Fara of

Eastern Uttar Pradesh, famous Kachori of Muzaffarnagar, Amla of Pratapgarh and

famous Petha of Agra.

The

objective of the Kaushal Mela is that maximum number of people can come and see

the live demonstration of skill innovation by the emerging young talent of the

state and get a glimpse of the new Uttar Pradesh of the new India as well as

enjoy various cuisines.
