Nagon (Assam), 11 July (HS): A massive membership program was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Kathiatoli of Nagon district. This program was held on the open stage of Kathiatoli Navshikha Sangh under the aegis of Kaliabar District and Bamuni Mandal BJP.

The program was presided over by Kaliabar District BJP President Babul Bora. In the welcome speech, he said that in the last four years, many times more development work has been done in the area under the leadership of Barhampur Assembly constituency MLA Jitu Goswami. He said that in the recently held Panchayat elections, BJP has won 28 Gram Panchayat, 25 Regional Panchayat and four District Council areas.

In this membership program, many members of Kampur area of Congress, Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) and Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chhatra Parishad took membership of BJP. MLA Jitu Goswami, who was present in the program, said that now Kathiatoli area has become completely BJP.

Inspired by the policies and principles of BJP, more than 300 people including about 35 members took membership of BJP under the leadership of Kathiatali Mandal Congress President Binod Patra.

Many BJP workers and leaders including Bamuni Mandal President Abhishek Som, Tiwa Autonomous Council President Madan Bardoloi were present in the program.
