11 July (HS): SWAT team crime and
Indirapuram police station arrested three criminals during an encounter on Friday.
The accused broke the shutter of watch showroom Sai Creation
located in front of Jaipuria Mughal in Indirapuram area on the night of August 10
last year and stole the valuable watches kept in the showroom. Two criminals
got injured in the encounter. The injured have been admitted to the hospital
for treatment. These three criminals were absconding since the incident. There
was a reward of Rs. 50,000 on the arrest of one of these criminals.

illegal pistols, 02 empty cartridges, 02 live cartridges, 01 illegal knife and
01 watch stolen from Sai Creation showroom were recovered from their
possession. DCP Trans Hindon Nimish Dashrath Patil said that the police was
checking. Then, in connection with the information about three criminals
standing near Kanavani bridge planning to commit a theft, on going to the spot,
they heard the conversation of the three persons among themselves. The three
persons were planning to commit a theft in a big showroom in Indirapuram area.
The police team tried to surround and catch the three persons with the
intention of stopping the criminal incident to be committed by them. Seeing
themselves surrounded by the police, two persons took out pistols and fired
directly at the police team with the intention of saving themselves. Due to
which the police personnel present there narrowly escaped.
The police party
showed indomitable courage and fired in self-defense. In which two accused got
injured after being shot in the leg and the third of them started running to
save himself. Both the injured criminals were caught and the third accused who
was running away was arrested from near the incident spot. Injured Deepak
Kumar, resident of Veerta Chowk Ghodasahan, Police Station Ghodasahan and Siraj
Mian, son of Jikurla Mian, resident of Veerta Chowk Ghodasahan, Police Station
Ghodasahan, District East Champaran, Motihari, Bihar were arrested during the
encounter.
Karan
Kumar was arrested with a knife. Deepak was wanted in a theft case from
Indirapuram police station. A reward of Rs. 50,000 has been announced for his
arrest. On interrogation, the arrested accused told that the three along with
their other companions break the shutters of shops and commit theft in big watch/mobile
phone showrooms and sell the stolen goods. They have an organized gang. Today,
they had again gathered in Indirapuram area with the intention of doing recce
and committing theft.
