Mumbai, 11 July (HS):

A standard operating procedure (SOP) relating to Zidpi Jungle will be announced

within three months after a discussion with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis,

Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule informed the Legislative Assembly on

Friday.

Replying to the issue

raised by Congress leader Nana Patole, Bawankule said the Environment Ministry wants

the information in a specific format, as per the directives of the Supreme

Court. The format includes details of encroachments on forest land in the Vidarbha

region, Bawankule said. The information is being collected, and final solution

to the issue will be worked out after submitting the report to the Union Environment

Ministry. The final decision will benefit farmers and residents, he

added.
